A yacht charter is a private sailing or boating holiday where you hire a yacht for a set period and choose where you want to explore. Depending on your experience and preferences, you can choose a bareboat charter, crewed yacht charter or superyacht charter.

Yacht charter prices vary depending on the yacht, destination, dates, number of guests and whether you choose a bareboat, crewed or superyacht charter. Additional costs may include fuel, marina fees, food, taxes and other charter expenses.

A bareboat charter allows qualified sailors to operate the yacht themselves, while a crewed yacht charter includes professional crew who take care of sailing and the onboard experience. Fairview offers both bareboat and crewed yachts across multiple destinations.

No. You don't need sailing experience to enjoy a yacht charter. A crewed yacht charter or skippered charter allows you to enjoy the experience while a professional crew or skipper takes care of the yacht and navigation. Bareboat charters, however, require the appropriate experience and qualifications.

Fairview Yachting offers yacht charters in Thailand, Hong Kong, the Mediterranean, UK South Coast and a wider selection of worldwide charter yachts available through its global network.

The right yacht depends on several factors, including where you want to sail, how many people are travelling, your preferred level of service, sailing experience, accommodation requirements and budget. Fairview's charter team can help you compare suitable yachts and find the best match for your trip.

Yes. One of the main advantages of a private yacht charter is the ability to create an itinerary around your interests. Depending on the yacht, destination, weather and local cruising regulations, you can explore different islands, beaches, anchorages, restaurants and coastal destinations.

Yacht charters can range from a few hours or a day to a week or longer, depending on the yacht, destination and charter arrangement. Some yachts are particularly suited to short private excursions, while others are designed for extended cruising and week-long holidays.

The number of guests depends on the yacht and its licensed accommodation capacity. Fairview's fleet ranges from yachts suitable for smaller private groups through to large superyachts capable of accommodating significantly larger parties. Your charter specialist can help you find a yacht that offers the right combination of guest capacity, cabins and onboard space.
