On a yacht charter in Phuket, another great marina for a stopover is The Yacht Haven Marina in Phuket.
The Yacht Haven Marina can be found in Laem Phrao on the Northeast coast of Phuket, facing the channel of water that separates Phuket from the mainland. It overlooks the stunning Phang Nga Bay, the perfect gateway to explore this beautiful area.
It is a great base to enjoy the island of Phuket too, if you want to go exploring inland.
It is Phuket’s only deep water access marina, thus allowing maneuvering in pretty much all states of tides.
On-shore facilities
The Marina can accommodate approx 200 boats.
Facitilies include, boardwalks and full electric hook-ups which can provide, phone, electricity, water and WiFi access.
On shore you can take advantage of a laundry service and showering facilities. There is also a yacht chandlery, a swimming pool and gymnasium, as well as The Haven Restaurant and a Coffee Shop.
Getting there…
Recommended approach to the marina is from the East, where you need to approach Koh Ngam due West 270 degrees. Then keeping Koh Ngam astern, you need steer towards the pylon. There is a pair of red and green buoys, (keeping red to port and green to starboard) which will guide you into the marina entrance.
